The welcome of the Organizing Committee
The Torino Meeting, organized by CUS Torino since 1970, is now widely known by the public as the Nebiolo Memorial.
The event has been held, for the past 14 years, in honor of Primo Nebiolo, who, by unanimous opinion,
restored athletics undertaking bold, clever and productive actions in favor of the "Queen" of sports and university sports at all levels.
The 2012 edition saw the participation of the greatest stars of international athletics. A month and a half after the opening of the Olympic Games in London,
the Torino Meeting proved to be an exciting event full of action and thrills. A great audience – more than 5000 people crowded the stands –
applauded the Paralympic world record in the shot put realized by Assunta Legnante, and the Italian record in the men’s 110 hurdles realized by Emanuele Abate.
We hope that the 2013 edition will be, once again, an international showcase for many great athletes: our team is working with great enthusiasm and passion to obtain this goal!
We are striving to organize a great Meeting, which will prove to be an unmissable appointment for all athletics lovers but also for everyone,
hoping that the public will confirm its enthusiasm and once again be present and numerous in the stands to incite all the athletes who will honor, with their presence and efforts, the name of Primo Nebiolo.
