Long jump is the fulcrum of 1999: a great challenge
between James Beckford and Iago Lamela, the Spanish wins with
a last jump of 8,56 best world performance of the year and
obviously record of the Meeting.
Voronin leads in the high jump (2,31) and Diego Fortuna in
the discus throw (63,38). Record of the Meeting for the Russian
Tsiganova too that runs 800 m. in 1’59”83 and
for Shishigina that finishes 100hs in 12”70.
