Message of welcome of the Organizing Committee

2009 was a very important year for the International Track and Field Meeting of Torino - Memorial Primo Nebiolo, but also for the entire world of athletics, since it was the 10th anniversary of the death of Primo Nebiolo, one of the greatest leaders of World and Italian athletics, but also of University sport in general. The latest edition proved to be a real success, thanks to the large audience present at the Nebiolo Stadium and the many guests who filled the VIP stand, including HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco - who personally greeted Giovanna Nebiolo and the memory of Primo - the Rector of the Polytechnic of Torino, Francesco Profumo, the Vice Rector of the Polytechnic Marco Mezzalama, the Pro Rector of the University of Torino Sergio Roda, FIDAL President Franco Arese, CUSI President Leonardo Coiana, and many others.
2010 will prove to be as good a year for the Meeting as 2009 was. Despite the economic difficulties, the Organizing Committee is working hard to ensure the presence of the best athletes of the world on the track, to give the audience unforgettable moments of athletics. Many will be the competitions organized and we really hope that the Turinese public will respond enthusiastically as it always does.

I wish all the athletes who will be present the best of luck, and I will be waiting for you on June 12 at the Primo Nebiolo Stadium to celebrate once again all together Athletics, the Queen of All sports!
